Expected devotees

Every year people from India as well as Nepal flock in Kathmandu for the month of Shrawan. Every Monday in the month of Shrawan is devoted to Lord Shiva and people with their bare foot walk or jog from parts of the city to Sundarijal, to collect as little as 2 small jar of pure water. They reach Sundarijal either by foot or by vehicle on Sunday and return to Pashupati Nath Temple as soon as Monday begins to serve the water brought by them from Sundarijal. About 500,000 people are expected to carry out the ritual. Its a must see site for anyone either from Nepal or from any other countries. People running to Pashupati Nath shouting "Bol Bom"  is so exiting and encouraging that even we feel their rush and determination to complete the ritual. People will be wearing an orange colored cloth around their body. Its the only piece of cloth to save them from getting bitten by mosquitoes and getting through the night in Sundarijal. There are many volunteers across the city to help the devotees from any hurts or weaknesses. Volunteers waiting to serve juice or water to the devotees can be easily noticed aside of the roads of the city on the early morning of Monday.

Please do post something if I've missed anything.
